Ingredients for Peach Cobbler

For the peaches:

5 peaches, peeled, cored, and sliced (about 4 cups / 600–700 g)

3/4 cup granulated sugar (150 g)

1/4 teaspoon salt

For the batter:

6 tablespoons butter (85 g)

1 cup all-purpose flour (120 g)

1 cup granulated sugar (200 g)

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup milk (180 ml)

Ground cinnamon, for topping

How to Make Peach Cobbler

Step 1: Prep the peaches

In a saucepan, combine peaches, sugar, and salt. Cook over medium heat for a few minutes until the sugar dissolves and the peaches release their juices. Remove from heat.
(Using canned peaches? Skip this step and go straight to Step 2.)

Step 2: Melt the butter

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place butter pieces in a 9x13-inch baking dish and let them melt in the oven. Remove dish once melted.

Step 3: Mix the batter

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk until just combined (don’t overmix). Pour batter evenly over melted butter in the dish.

Step 4: Add peaches

Spoon peaches and their juices evenly over the batter. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon.

Step 5: Bake

Bake at 350°F for 38–40 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.

Peach Cobbler Recipe Tips

✨ Fresh vs. canned peaches: Fresh gives the best flavor, but canned makes this even faster.

✨ Add vanilla: A splash of vanilla extract in the batter adds extra depth.

✨ Switch it up: Try plums, berries, or apples instead of peaches for seasonal variations.

✨ Less sugar option: Reduce the sugar in the batter by 2–3 tablespoons if you prefer it less sweet.
